Doug will always be an icon to those of us who grew up in the 1970's. I was in kindergarden in 1971. As I look back now as I often do, memories of Doug's magic and his charm were one of the things that always brought those fond memories from then back to life. He never failed to captivate young or old when preforming and his gentle personna (I think) helped mold me into the caring human being that I am now. Doug WILL live forever in my mind and just in case my mind ever slips (with age) thank God for video. Rest peacefully old friend. May your path be with God.
