I saw Doug when he came to West Virginia University in 1975 or '76. After the show he went with a group of us to the lounge at the Holiday Inn on University Avenue. Later he went to a couple of friends house to visit. Not only was he a great performer, he was a kind, generous, nice guy. I'm sorry I haven't seen his magic for a long time and sorrier that I won't see his magic in the future
