I was always fascinated by magic, but it was Doug who was the biggest influence on me in regard to the art. I got to see The Magic Show on Broadway, but after Doug had left the show. I finally got to see him live when he toured with his World of Magic show. I still perform magic on an amatuer level, and I know it is because I saw Doug. His presentation of the art as an example of wonder and beauty changed magic for me. Thank you Doug.
