It was around 1964 when I frist met Doug at an Abbott Get-Together in Colon, Michigan. The frist night there we stayed up almost to dawn showing each other card effects in a laundromat! After that we corresponded a little and sent each other our black and white 8x10's. I still have the one that Doug sent me. He had short hair at the time. When he got the whole magic world going again with The Magic Show on Broadway, I wrote to him and he wrote back. It was nice of him. I really wanted him to make a comeback as I liked his fresh approach to magic.
