When the tribute portion came on during the Emmy show this evening I was shocked to see Doug Henning as part of the tribute. I just can't believe he is gone. In 1981 I was in the fifth grade at Buena Vista Elementary in Auburn, WA and it was Doug Henning and his magic show that inspired me to do a show for the school at the yearly talent contest. It was a huge hit and people still ask me about it and how they remember me.
